This piece is a part of my series for AP 2-D Design. I found an image of dumpsters and it struck me as compositionally interesting.
I did this piece before the one above it and started it with just the dumpster in pencil. The background was something I thought would make the piece a lot more interesting than the original environment that surrounded the dumpster.
This piece was painted on a small canvas. It is basically one of my characters that is derived from a style of my graffiti. I sometimes create different styles of these skull-like characters based off of this simple one here.
This piece is a good example of how i mix some of the stylistic qualities of graffiti and plain ol composition into my mixed media work.
